The Journey Begins: My First Steps into Sleep Consultancy

Starting a new journey is always filled with excitement and a hint of nervousness. As I take my first steps into the world of sleep consultancy, fresh from my training, I am overwhelmed with both the knowledge I’ve gained and the realisation of how much there is still to learn. I am really pleased that I have chosen to start on this journey with the experience and support of the Little Dreams team. This blog marks the beginning of my adventure with Little Dreams Consulting, where research and evidence-based practice guide us to help people achieve better sleep.

The Eye-Opening Training Experience

The training programme at Little Dreams Consulting filled me with inspiration and motivation. It was an intensive course that delved into the science of sleep, the various factors that influence sleep patterns, and the strategies to improve sleep. I was struck by the research and the evidence-based practices that Little Dreams employs. Knowing that our methods are backed by research gives me confidence in my new journey.

The Impact of Sleep Deprivation on Adults

One of the things that surprised me most during my training was learning about the effect that lack of sleep has on adults. Poor sleep impacts physical health, contributing to issues such as weakened immune systems and increased risks of conditions like heart disease and diabetes. It also affects mental health, with sleep disruption linked to mood disorders such as depression and anxiety. Additionally, cognitive functions like memory, concentration, and decision-making are impaired by inadequate sleep. Understanding these effects has deepened my commitment to helping others improve their sleep patterns and overall well-being.

The Support of Little Dreams Consulting

One of the advantages of being part of Little Dreams Consulting is the support network already in the business. The commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with the latest research ensures that we are always equipped with the best tools and knowledge to assist our clients. The resources and evidence-based practices provided by Little Dreams Consulting are invaluable as I start my consultancy practice.

Looking Ahead

As I move forward on this new journey, I am looking forward to the opportunity to help others improve their sleep and, consequently, their overall health and well-being. I have always enjoyed the family support aspect of my work to date, and I am keen to develop this in my new role. There is so much more to learn and discover in the field of sleep consultancy, and I am eager to continue my education and grow in this profession.
